Privacy Policy

iKnowHoop is an independent project built and run by one developer based in Nigeria. I'm responsible for your personal data (the “data controller”), and I follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

When you browse: like any website, the server sees your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. I use this to keep the site running and to stop abuse — for example, briefly slowing down a visitor who sends a lot of requests very quickly.

If you send feedback: your message, the type of feedback, the page you came from, and your email address only if you add one. I don't store your IP address or browser with it.

What I don't collect: there are no accounts, so no names, passwords or sign-in records; no payment details; no precise location, contacts, advertising IDs or sensitive information.

• to run the site, fix problems and keep it secure (a legitimate interest in a working, safe service);
• to read and act on feedback, and reply if you gave me your email (your consent, by sending it).

The projections and rankings are about basketball players and games, not about you. Player names, stats and publicly reported injury designations come from a sports data provider.

That's all. No advertising, analytics or social media cookies.

I don't sell or rent data, and I don't share it with advertisers. These services handle it on my behalf:

• Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC) — hosting and database. Its servers may be outside Nigeria, so data may be stored abroad; I rely on the provider's data protection commitments, as the NDPA allows.

I'd only share data with anyone else if the law requires it, such as a valid court order.

• Server logs: up to 30 days.
• Feedback: up to 24 months, or sooner if you ask me to delete it.
• Backups: overwritten within 35 days.

Everything travels over HTTPS, access to the database is restricted, and requests are rate-limited to stop abuse. No system is perfect — if something looks wrong, tell me at jiniyedeapps@gmail.com.

If there's ever a data breach that puts your information at risk, I'll report it to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and let anyone affected know promptly where I can reach them.

You can ask me what data I hold about you, and to correct or delete it — for example, a feedback message you sent. Email jiniyedeapps@gmail.com (from the same address, if you included one with your feedback). I'll reply within 30 days, free of charge.

If you're not happy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

iKnowHoop is for people aged 18 and over.

If I change how I handle data — for example, adding accounts, payments or ads — I'll update this page before it happens.
