Terms of Use

iKnowHoop is an independent basketball stats and projections site built and run by one developer based in Nigeria. These terms are the agreement between you and me when you use it. By using the site you agree to them — if you don't, please don't use it.

You need to be at least 18. How I handle data is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Projections, chances, hit rates, rankings and “What if” results are statistical estimates based on past games. They aren't guarantees and they aren't betting, financial or any other kind of advice. The published track record shows how they've done in the past, which doesn't promise anything about the future.

What you do with the information is your decision and your responsibility.

Scores, box scores, rosters and injury news come from a third-party data provider. They can be late, incomplete or corrected after the fact, and I can make mistakes too. I'll fix errors when I find them, and I may update or remove any stat or projection without notice. If you spot something wrong, please let me know.

Everything on iKnowHoop is free right now, with no account and no charges. To keep it fast for everyone, the site briefly slows down visitors who send a lot of requests very quickly.

I may add optional paid extras in future. If I do, they'll be clearly marked and opt-in, with the price and terms shown before you pay — nothing you use for free today will start charging you.

Please don't:

• scrape or bulk-download the site with bots or scripts;
• get around daily limits or rate limits (for example with extra accounts or rotating IP addresses);
• copy or resell the data and projections, or use them to build or train a competing product, without asking me first;
• try to hack, overload or break the site, or get into anyone else's account;
• pass off projections as guaranteed results, or use the site for anything illegal.

The site's design, code, writing, projections and the iKnowHoop name are mine. You're welcome to use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, share links, and quote small bits with credit to iKnowHoop. If you send me feedback or ideas, I can use them freely — thank you.

iKnowHoop is independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the NBA or any team, league or player. Team names, abbreviations and colours belong to their owners and are used only to identify the teams. Links to other websites are there for convenience; I'm not responsible for their content.

The site is provided “as is”. I work hard to keep it running and accurate, but I can't promise it will always be available, up to date or error-free, and I may change or remove features, or shut the site down.

As far as the law allows, I'm not responsible for losses that come from relying on the site — including money lost on decisions you make with it — or for problems caused by things outside my control, like data provider or hosting outages. If I am found responsible for something, my total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid me in the previous 12 months and ₦50,000 (fifty thousand Naira).

None of this takes away rights you have that can't legally be removed, including your rights as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, or limits liability for fraud.

I may block access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the site or other people at risk.

I may update these terms as the site changes. The new version will appear here with a new date, and significant changes will be announced on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept them. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

If something goes wrong, please email me first at jiniyedeapps@gmail.com — I'll try to sort it out within 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes that can't be resolved will be handled by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to go to your local courts.
